Urban Woodcraft

With a view of the Empire State Building and the rear-end of Port Authority, my little space in Hell’s Kitchen is a complete hand tool workshop, with a chopping block and a sawhorse, a workbench and a shave horse, paint pots and a sharpening station. It is where I do most of my work, carving and painting, and telling stories. What is it like to have a shop on the 23rd floor?
